Free Aadhaar Update Option Is Available Until September 14

In a piece of great news for people, the free Aadhaar card update option is available until September 14, 2024. Notably, this facility aims to ensure people can keep their Aadhaar data very accurate and up-to-date without any fees. People can update their Aadhar card by visiting the website at uidai.gov.in.

In fact, the Aadhaar number serves as a tool for identity verification across numerous platforms. Usually, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recommends that Aadhaar number holders update their cards once every 10 years.

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number, and it is issued to Indian citizens based on their biometric and demographic-specific data. Interestingly, this system aims to eliminate duplicate and fake identities.

Here are the steps for updating your Aadhaar card details online:

Visit the UIDAI website at uidai.gov.in and select your preferred language. Now access the update section by clicking on the “My Aadhaar” tab and choosing “Update Your Aadhaar” from the drop-down menu. Under the “Update Aadhaar Details (Online)” page, click on “Document Update.”

Next, login by entering your Aadhaar number and the Captcha code, then click “Send OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click “Login.”

Next, choose the demographic details you want to update, such as name, address, or date of birth, and fill in the new information accurately. Now you will have to upload documents. To do so, click “Submit” and upload scanned copies of the required documents to support your update request.
