Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stated that the recent 11% tariff increase in the telecom sector is justified, emphasizing that operators like Airtel and Reliance Jio have invested Rs 4.26 trillion in expanding 4G and 5G networks. He noted that voice tariffs have decreased by 95% and data by 97% over the past decade, making India one of the most affordable connectivity markets globally.
