A violent clash erupted in Vanavishnupuram village of Polaki Mandal in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, between workers of the ruling TDP and the opposition YSRCP during the ‘Gramdevata Utsavam.’ TDP activist Palina Veeraswamy was killed in a stone-pelting incident involving YSRCP cadres. Police arrived at the scene in response to the violence, and an investigation is still underway.
