In the second phase of Telangana Gram Panchayat elections held yesterday, Congress secured 2,130 sarpanch seats, BRS won 1,124, BJP 245, and others 611. BRS dominated in Sircilla and Siddipet, the constituencies of KTR and Harish Rao. Of the total, 415 sarpanch seats were uncontested, while elections were conducted for the remaining 3,911 panchayats.
