Karnataka Govt Forms SIT To Investigate COVID-19 Procurement Irregularities

Karnataka govt has decided to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a Cabinet sub-committee to address the findings of the Justice Michael D’ Cunha Commission, which investigated alleged irregularities in COVID-19 equipment and medicine purchases during the previous BJP administration. Commission’s partial report examined expenditures of ₹7,223.64 crore and recommended recovering ₹500 crore.
