IMA Calls For Nationwide Hunger Strike On October 15 In Support Of West Bengal Doctors

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has declared a 24-hour nationwide hunger strike on October 15 to support West Bengal doctors protesting the rape and murder of a young colleague at RG Kar Medical College. Junior doctors have been fasting for nine days, with three hospitalized. Private hospitals in West Bengal too plan a partial cease-work from October 14 to 16.
