Actress Kasturi Shankar said her comments about Telugu-speaking communities in Tamil Nadu were misinterpreted. She asserted that negative propaganda was being spread against her. “I exposed the hypocrisy and double standards of DMK,” she said. Kasturi spoke about “those who came as assistants to king’s consort” who later, “adopted a Tamil identity” while engaging in divisive politics.
