Congress Demands Full Term For Dalit Mayor, Plans To Boycott Delhi Mayoral Vote

The Congress announced it will boycott Delhi’s mayoral vote, pushing for a full one-year term for the Dalit mayor instead of the truncated tenure ending in April 2025. Congress members will attend but abstain from voting. The AAP has nominated Mahesh Khichi and Ravinder Bharadwaj for mayor and deputy, respectively, while the BJP’s candidates are Kishan Lal and Nita Bisht.
