In a big blow to Naxalism in Telangana’s Mulugu district, eight Maoists from the Damodar Dal’s Platoon Squad Party surrendered to DSP Shabarish today. SP Shabarish stated that the surrender reflects a growing shift, as former extremists are choosing to abandon violence and reintegrate into society, encouraged by the TG govt.
