Trump Appoints Elise Stefanik As U.N. Ambassador

President-elect Donald Trump has selected Rep. Elise Stefanik as his Ambassador to the United Nations, calling her a “strong, tough, and smart America First fighter.” The 40-year-old Stefanik, currently House Republican Conference Chair, has been a loyal ally of Trump and was previously considered as a potential vice-presidential candidate. She takes over the role from Nikki Haley.
