The Delhi High Court has asked the police to respond to a plea from climate activist Sonam Wangchuk seeking permission for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. The court scheduled the hearing for October 22, following claims that police denied the request without valid reasons. Wangchuk’s group had previously marched to Delhi, demanding Ladakh’s inclusion under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
