Delhi BJP Protests For Reappointment Of Civil Defense Volunteers; Several Detained

Delhi BJP workers protested outside CM Atishi’s residence, demanding the reappointment of 10,000 civil defense volunteers removed last year. The demonstration resulted in several detentions by police to maintain order. Atishi stated that deployment of the volunteers would begin shortly and that a proposal for their permanent engagement would be sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval.
