Cambodia Deploys ‘Hero Rats’ To Detect Landmines

In Cambodia, landmines from the Vietnam War continue to pose deadly risks along the Thai border. To combat this, the Apopo organization has trained giant pouched rats in Africa to detect landmines by scent and supplied them to the Cambodian govt. Among the 75 Hero Rats, Ronin holds a Guinness World Record for safely defusing 109 landmines.
