Amit Shah Unveils First All-Woman CISF Battalion For National Security

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the formation of an all-woman CISF battalion to secure critical infrastructure like airports and metros and offer VIP protection. Approved by the Union government, this 1,000-strong battalion aligns with the vision to enhance women’s roles in security. Women currently make up over 7% of CISF’s 1.80 lakh personnel, securing vital government and industrial sites.
