It is known that Sugnana Kumari was an eight-time MLA from Khallikote and a two-time legislator from Kabisuryanagar.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid homage to veteran BJD leader Sugnana Kumari Deo at the BJD party office in Bhubaneswar. CM Patnaik also extended his condolences to the bereaved family members.
Sugnana Kumari was known to have served as a legislator from Kabisuryanagar twice and as an eight-time MLA from Khallikote. She is eighty-seven years old and one of BJD’s senior leaders. She passed away on Saturday while receiving care at a Chennai hospital.
President Droupadi Murmu emphasized that Sugnana Kumari Deo’s enormous contribution to Odisha and its people won her appreciation from across the political spectrum. Governor Raghubar Das of Odisha, along with a number of other prominent figures, have offered their condolences on Deo’s passing.
As per the most recent sources, a dedicated flight from Chennai carried Deo’s mortal remains to Bhubaneswar. The final ceremonies will take place in Khalikote.
