₹1,000 Crore Seized Ahead Of Elections, 7 Times More Than 2019

Enforcement agencies have seized over ₹1,000 crore in cash, liquor, and other inducements across 14 states, including Maharashtra and Jharkhand, ahead of elections. This marks a sevenfold increase from 2019. Notable seizures include ₹3.7 crore cash in Palghar, ₹4.5 crore worth of ganja in Buldhana, and illegal mining materials in Jharkhand. The ECI aims to curb the influence of money in politics.
