Supreme Court Surprised By Ongoing Construction Despite Pollution Ban

On Monday, the Supreme Court expressed surprise when it learned construction was still ongoing on its premises, despite a ban due to severe air pollution in Delhi. Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan pointed out that construction outside Court number 11 was causing dust and debris. The bench swiftly intervened, and construction was halted, as Delhi’s air quality remained critically poor.
