CBI Challenges Karnataka’s Decision To Transfer D.K. Shivakumar’s DA Case To Lokayukta

The CBI has approached the Supreme Court to contest the Karnataka government’s decision to transfer its investigation into Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s alleged disproportionate assets to the state Lokayukta. The agency argues that the state’s withdrawal of consent for the investigation, previously granted by the BJP government, is unjustified. The High Court had dismissed the CBI’s petitions.
