The Editors Guild of India condemned the arrest of two NTV journalists in Telangana, calling police action hasty and unwarranted. It said no names were mentioned in the aired programme and criticised midnight arrests for bailable offences. Urging due process, the Guild warned such actions supress media freedom and asked CM Revanth Reddy to ensure an unfettered press.
