SC Asserts Authority In D.K. Shivakumar Disproportionate Assets Case

The Supreme Court on Monday asserted it is not powerless to annul proceedings in the Karnataka Lokayukta probe into Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s disproportionate assets case. The court is hearing appeals from the CBI and BJP MLA Basanagouda Yatnal against the withdrawal of consent for the investigation. The matter is set for further hearing on January 22, 2025.
