Air Pollution A National Crisis, Govt Response Failing: Congress

Congress said air pollution is a nationwide structural crisis and criticised the government’s response as ineffective. Citing a CREA report, Jairam Ramesh said 44% of Indian towns face chronic pollution, while NCAP covers only a few cities. He demanded major reforms, stronger laws, higher funding, better monitoring, and stricter enforcement.
