UP Govt Imposes 6-Month Ban On Strikes, Demonstrations

UP govt, led by Yogi Adityanath, has imposed a 6 month ban on strikes & demonstrations in govt departments, corporations, and local authorities under the UP Essential Services Maintenance Act. Decision aims to ensure uninterrupted services during major events like the Kumbh Mela. Opposition Samajwadi Party criticized the move as “undemocratic” and a violation of constitutional rights.
