The government OF Andhra Pradesh has officially declared drought zones across the state, identifying 54 areas in five districts. These include Satyasai (10), Annamayya (19), Anantapur (7), Chittoor (16), and Kurnool (2) mandals. Despite high rainfall recorded during the Kharif season, several regions received below-average rainfall, qualifying them as drought-affected zone.
