The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating Korou Nganba Khuman, leader of the Meitei radical group Arambai Tenggol, and Kuki militants for their involvement in attacks on security forces during the ongoing unrest in Manipur. The cases include an IED explosion and armed assaults on police and military posts. The Supreme Court has transferred these cases to the NIA Special Court in Guwahati.
