Tomato prices have plummeted to a record low of just ₹4-6 per kg in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Farmers are facing difficulties as they are not getting even ₹4 per kg due to heavy imports from neighboring states. In AP’s Madanapalle, some growers are giving tomatoes away for free, while others leave them rotting in the fields.
