The NDA continues its stronghold in the Maharashtra Municipal Council polls. Out of 246 councils, BJP leads in 85 seats, Shiv Sena (Shinde) in 48, and NCP (Ajit Pawar) in 32. In the Congress-led Mahayuti alliance, Congress heads 26 seats, Shiv Sena UBT 9, NCP (Sharad Pawar) 12, while others account for 23 seats, reflecting a clear edge for the ruling bloc.
