The KPCC expelled Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil to contain the sexual predation controversy troubling the UDF since August. The move followed a district court’s rejection of his anticipatory bail plea in a rape and forced pregnancy-termination case. The complaint was filed last week by a woman known to the legislator.
