Assam’s Karbi District To Evict 1000 Manipur Kuki Migrants

Assam’s Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council has decided to evict around 1000 Kuki migrants who fled violence in Manipur. The Council Chief Executive  stated that 500 families would be relocated, citing a lack of settlement space. Meanwhile, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity has called for a two-day government office shutdown in protest against the government’s failure to address the crisis.
