Assam Congress Chief Seeks Govt Job For Widow Of Protest Victim

Assam Congress president Bhupen Kumar Borah urged Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to offer a government job to the widow of Mridul Islam, a party leader who died during a protest. Borah claimed Islam’s death resulted from excessive police force and requested the job for Islam’s wife, Hamida Parbin, in Kamrup district, based on her qualifications, to support her and their two children.
