Supreme Court Begins Hearing On 42% BC Quota In TG Local Polls

The Supreme Court has begun hearing the Telangana government’s petition on 42% BC reservations in local body elections. Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi represented the state, urging the court to intervene immediately. The Telangana govt requested a stay on the High Court’s orders and sought permission to implement 42% reservations for BCs in the polls.
