Maharashtra goes to local body polls today under tight security. Over 1.07 crore voters will cast their votes across 13,355 polling booths equipped with EVMs. More than 66,000 personnel have been deployed to supervise the process. The model code of conduct has been in effect since Nov 4, following the State EC’s announcement of the poll schedule.
