Heavy Inflow At Nagarjuna Sagar, 26 Crest Gates Lifted

The Nagarjuna Sagar project is witnessing heavy inflow, prompting the lifting of 26 crest gates to release water downstream. An inflow of 3,21,023 cusecs is being matched by an equal outflow. While the full reservoir level is 590 feet, the current water level has reached 587 feet, nearing maximum capacity.
