Punjab Leaders Not Happy With 10 Acres Being Allotted To Haryana In Chandigarh

A fresh political row erupted over Chandigarh’s status as the capital shared between Punjab and Haryana. This follows a recent decision by Union Home Ministry to allocate 10 acres of land in Chandigarh to Haryana for constructing a separate Vidhan Sabha building. This was offered in exchange for 12 acres of land in Panchkula. The allocation stirred strong opposition among Punjab leaders.
