Sukhbir Singh Badal Steps Down As SAD President

Veteran leader Sukhbir Singh Badal stepped down as the president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Saturday. The announcement was made by former Punjab Education Minister Daljit S Cheema. Badal resigned to pave the way for the next election. “SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal submitted his resignation to the working Committee to pave the way for the election of new President,” Cheema wrote on X.
