SC To Hear Plea On Extension For Waqf Property Registration

The Supreme Court will hear AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s plea on October 28, seeking more time for mandatory registration of waqf properties on the UMEED portal. With only one month left, the court had earlier paused key provisions of the amended Waqf Act but upheld removal of the “waqf by user” clause.
