NPP Withdraws Support From Manipur Govt Amid Ongoing Violence

Conrad Sangma-led NPP withdrew support from the Manipur coalition govt on Sunday amid ongoing violence. Inter-communal clashes between the Meitei and Kuki communities have killed at least 250 and displaced 60,000 people since 2023. In a letter to BJP chief JP Nadda, the NPP expressed concern over the law and order situation and criticized CM Biren Singh’s handling of the crisis.
