PM Modi remembered the bravery of everyone involved in the Assam Movement on Swahid Diwas and said that it holds an important place in India’s history. Assam CM Himanta said the new Swahid Smarak will be inaugurated and an eternal flame lit to honour the martyrs. The event will be broadcast statewide with a patriotic song performed across all districts.
