The Telangana Panchayat Raj Dept has released ₹325 cr in view of the upcoming local body polls. Out of this ₹325 cr, ₹150 cr will be spent on conducting ZPTC and MPTC elections, and ₹175 cr will be spent for elections of sarpanches and ward members in gram panchayats. These funds are used to cover expenditure on election material, travel allowances and others.
