SIR To Begin Nationwide: Voter List Update Starts Soon

The Election Commission will soon begin Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists across India. All states must prepare by 30 September. SIR helps add names of new voters and remove names of the deceased or shifted. Only those whose names are missing need documents. The process may start in some states later this year.
