Sri Lanka Moves Ahead To Join RCEP Trade Bloc

Sri Lanka has decided to join the RCEP trade agreement after the Cabinet approved submitting the required initial questionnaire. RCEP includes ASEAN nations plus China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The pact covers 30% of global GDP. By joining, Sri Lanka hopes to expand exports and strengthen its role in regional supply chains.
