An inspection at Zomato’s Hyperpure warehouse in Hyderabad on October 29, 2024, revealed 18 kg of button mushrooms labeled with a packing date of October 30, 2024. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal clarified that the issue was due to a manual typing error by a vendor, which was quickly identified and rejected during the company’s quality control process before reaching consumers.
