WAQF Board Claims 1500 Acres Farmland In Karnataka, Farmers Protest

As per reports, the Waqf board has claimed around 1,500 acres of farmland in Karnataka’s Vijayapura. Farmers, who owns the land, have engaged with BJP MP Tejasvi Surya to urge government intervention. They also appealed to the Siddaramaiah government to take action. Surya argues this is Congress’s vote bank politics, accused of not addressing WAQF board’s authority under the Waqf Act.
