Villagers Burn Snake After Fatal Bite In Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh’s Korba district, villagers burned a snake alive on the funeral pyre of 22-year-old Digeshwar Rathiya, who died from a venomous bite. The incident occurred after Rathiya was bitten by a common krait while preparing his bed. Fearing further attacks, locals captured the snake and tied it to a stick during the funeral procession before incinerating it.
