In Odisha’s Sundargarh district, 6 people were killed and 5 others injured when a passenger van collided with a truck. The accident occurred near Gaikanapali, reportedly due to fog, as a ‘kirtan’ group returned from a Diwali event in Chakkplai village. The deceased hailed from Kandagoda and Samarpinda villages. Locals blocked the road, demanding compensation for the victims’ families.
