Uttarakhand Govt To Introduce New Land Laws To Regulate Purchases By Non-Residents

The Uttarakhand govt plans to introduce a stringent land purchase law in the upcoming assembly budget session to regulate large-scale land acquisitions in hilly regions by non-residents. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced this initiative on Friday. The govt aims to identify non-residents violating existing norms, which permit only 250 sqm of land for personal use in non-municipal areas.
