Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the principal rites at the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, which was presided over by a small group of priests. In the meantime, ‘Ram Nagri’ Ayodhya attracted attention from all over the world with crackers going up and illuminating the night sky in various sections of the city and large amounts of earthen lamps, or diyas, lit up.
Footage also displayed joyous festivities taking place at the well-known Saryu Ghat, where happy residents were demonstrating their love for Ram Lalla. In honor of Lord Ram’s accession to this throne, festivities were also arranged around the nation. A ‘Aarti’ was conducted at ‘Har Ki Pauri’ in Haridwar, in which a lot of people took part.
In the meantime, “Diya’s” were also lit in the ‘Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple’ in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in an almost exact replica of the famous Diwali ceremony that marked Prabhu Ram’s return from banishment. Public access to the magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya will begin today. At 12.29 p.m.
