Thadou Tribe Defines Stance On NRC And Drug War At Convention

Amid tensions in Manipur, the Thadou tribe emphasized its distinct identity during a “historic” convention. They expressed support for the National Register of Citizens (NRC) if implemented by the Centre and backed the state’s ‘War on Drugs’ initiative, urging more effective community engagement. The Thadou tribe has been recognized as the largest tribe in Manipur since 1881.
