A Tamil Nadu resident, Murugesan, was scammed out of ₹2.91 lakh after fraudsters falsely claimed he won ₹5.6 crore on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Using the Prime Minister’s image on fake documents, the scammers manipulated him into paying “tax obligations.” Following a complaint from the PMO, the CBI has launched an investigation into this elaborate fraud scheme.
