The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a former Army officer’s plea to quash a rape charge sheet filed against him. Capt. Rakesh Walia (retired) claims malicious prosecution by the complainant, citing multiple false FIRs. The officer, 63, suffers from severe medical issues and alleges the complainant’s intent was to extort money. The matter will be heard on December 6.
