Supreme Court Refuses To Entertain Plea Against J&K Governor Nominating 5 MLAs

Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea challenging the J&K Lt Governor’s authority to nominate 5 members to the Union Territory’s Assembly. SC asked the petitioner to approach the High Court instead. “In many cases, where we have entertained at first instance (bypassing the High Court), we see many things get left out,” the bench said.
